Snowflake Architecture

Skillsoft issued completion badges are earned based on viewing the percentage required or receiving a passing score when assessment is required. Snowflake employs a hybrid architecture to solve the massively parallel processing problem. This architecture uses a shared-disk approach for storage but uses multiple independent compute clusters to process the data. In this course, you’ll learn about traditional database architectures, Snowflake hybrid architecture, and the three layers of Snowflake architecture. You'll explore micro-partitioning and how Snowflake stores data. Finally, you'll also learn about the purpose of virtual warehouses and configuring a virtual warehouse.
