Skillsoft issued completion badges are earned based on viewing the percentage required or receiving a passing score when assessment is required. Pod Scheduling refers to how Kubernetes deploys pods to nodes. Administrators must have the skills to work with pods and related components such as namespaces.
In this course, you will first create and manage a namespace into which Kubernetes components can be deployed followed by working with namespaces in the Microsoft Azure cloud. You will then manage service namespaces and configure ReplicaSets locally as well as in the cloud. Moving on, discover how to use labels and selectors to establish an association between Kubernetes components. Next, discover the Kubernetes deployment lifecycle followed by applying deployments locally and in the cloud. You will then apply pod limits and resource requirements followed by focusing on how pod scheduling works. Next, you will work with pod placement on nodes, configure a pod restart policy, and deploy a stateful application in a pod. Lastly, you will discover common Kubernetes templating tools such as Helm.
This course can be used to prepare for the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam.
