Java Programming: Arithmetic & Logical Operations

The course demonstrates how a small change in an expression can lead to profound changes in output. A recommended prerequisite for this course is a knowledge of primitive data and object types in Java. In this course, you will learn the importance of developing an expression to meet project applications since, in Java, false is the default value. The logical operators are boolean operators, comparison operators, and the use of parentheses. Participants will see examples of boolean logical operators and comparison operators, and arithmetic operators. You will learn to use Java's built-in short-circuit addition and subtraction operators to perform mathematic operations, and how parentheses are used to alter arithmetic expressions. The course also covers use of a unary operator to take a single operand/argument and perform an operation. Finally, the course demonstrates the application of pre- and post-increment and decrement when using a unary operator.
